How do I bookmark a verse?

Long-press (tap and hold) on any verse to bring up the action menu. Tap the bookmark icon to save that verse to your bookmarks. You can view all your bookmarks by tapping the "المحفوظات" (Bookmarks) button on the home screen.

How do I search for a verse?

Tap the "بحث" (Search) button on the home screen. Type in any word or phrase in Arabic, and Ayah will instantly search through all 6,236 verses of the Quran. Tap any result to navigate directly to that verse.

How do I change the font size?

While reading any Surah, tap the font size icon (Aa) in the bottom navigation bar. Use the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the font size. You can also adjust font size from the Settings screen (tap the gear icon on the home screen).

How do I enable dark mode?

Tap the settings icon (gear) on the home screen. Under "المظهر" (Theme), you can choose:

• فاتح (Light): Always use light mode
• داكن (Dark): Always use dark mode
• تلقائي (Auto): Follow your iOS system setting

Does Ayah work offline?

Yes! Ayah works 100% offline. All Quranic text is embedded in the app, so you can read anywhere without an internet connection - on a plane, in the subway, or anywhere else.

How do I navigate between Surahs?

While reading a Surah, you can:

• Use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen
• Swipe left or right to move between Surahs
• Tap the back button to return to the Surah list
• Use the "الأجزاء" (Juz) feature to browse by Quran parts

How do I view my reading statistics?

Tap the "تقدمك" (Your Progress) button on the home screen to see:

• Total Surahs completed
• Total verses read
• Overall reading progress
• Number of bookmarked verses

How do I copy or share a verse?

Long-press on any verse to open the action menu. You can then:

• Tap the copy icon to copy the verse to your clipboard
• Tap the share icon to share via Messages, WhatsApp, or other apps

Is my data private?

Absolutely! Ayah does not collect ANY personal data. All your bookmarks, reading progress, and settings are stored locally on your device and never leave your device. We don't have analytics, tracking, or ads. Your reading is completely private. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Are there any ads in the app?

No! Ayah is completely ad-free and will always remain so. We built this app as a service to the Muslim community, not as a business.
